Inspiration
As of now, our privacy is at risk even more than it has ever been before. The exploitation of personal data aside; Many threats online aim to take advantage of the ordinary person, to steal confidential information and use it maliciously. The people most in danger are the young and the old. Kazuya Grandparents was a victim of Online Fraud. With the Digital Privacy as the theme of this hackathon, we (WeLovePenguins) decided to create Waddle.
What it does
Waddle is an online courses for internet safety training designed for Canadian citizens. It is designed for everyone, from kids all the way to seniors, that wants to have a good understanding of Internet Safety for the modern ages. Waddle also have a web extension that displays internet tips that can remind users of good internet safety
How we built it
Waddle course website and Waddle web extension are built with HTML, CSS, and JS.
Challenges we ran into
- Unable to gather ideas during the beginning stage of the Hackathon
- A member wasn't able to attend the Hackathon

What's next for Waddle
We are considering the possibilities of introducing more courses, with a wider range of content, and improving UI with more QoL updates.
