A Progress Product Q&A Chatbot
Include a chatbot on progress.com which answers questions around Progress products.
It's trained using RFPIO based answers. RFPIO is a product Q&A repository solution we're introducing to help answer RFPs. The answers would be tagged (Chatbot) or similar in RFPIO in order to mark them as “training material” for the chatbot.
The MVP project could focus on WhatsUp Gold to satisfy the idea of familiarization with Ipswitch products.
Sample: “Which channels can be used for sending alerts from Whatsup Gold?” – “Whatsup Gold can send alerts via SMS, email, web or Slack. Link -> find out more (lead collection)”
“Which mobile fronted technologies are supported in Kinvey?” – “Kinvey supports 14 different SDKs such as NativeScript, Xamarin etc… Link -> find out more (lead collection)”
Pros:
- Online marketing boost & website visitor retention
- Best show case of NativeChat
- “Dogfooding” of own products
- Improved incentive to actively curate RFPIO repository answers
- Potential use case story or even commercial partnering potential with RFPIO
- Relatively straightforward hackathon project actually achievable in a day
Cons/Risks/Areas of uncertainty:
- We might want prospects to email us rather than using the chatbot
- If bot has quality issues it might negatively impact NativeChat perception
- Relies on API access to RFPIO
- Need to validate with online marketing team
