Inspiration

We live in a world filled with distractions on every step - "Adam sent you a message", "This Friday, buy all cereal 2 for 1", someone needs your help with something, or you just go for a walk, only for half an hour to pass. Losing focus easily is a common problem nowadays, which can kill creativity, increase the stress levels or simply substantially decrease productivity. And for the worst part, there is no real way to fight it. All the common solutions do is mitigate the effects - they try to help you with scheduling work and breaks or help you clean your brain to regain energy. But no app cares about the root causes... what if, it didn't need to be this way?

Introducing, Athygli

What it does

Athygli tries to solve the problem from a different direction, based on three principles:

we analyze - using data from our Integration systems, such as the frequency our user unlocks their smartphone, data from calendars and from smartwear devices, we learn and track, when the user gets distracted, how, and for how much time
we react - application learn the patterns of its user and can accurately try to mitigate the root cause of the distractions, by, for example, hiding notifications considered as "spam" from the user, until they complete the work they wanted to do
we educate - user is provided with handful of statistics about they habits, which they might not even recognize. They also have an access to a collection of hand-chosen articles about how to overcome distractions and focus more easily on the task.

How we built it

We build it using newest technologies, providing the user with smooth experience. Application requires minimal input from the user and works completely in the background - saving the day from the shadows.

Challenges we ran into

Aggregating and processing the required data was the biggest challenge along the way. There were many ways to solve it, but in the age of soon-to-be AI takeover, we decided to trust our overlords. More on a serious note, we use AI and data processing to give our users the best experience they can have.

What's next for Athygli

The journey does not end here. We plan to add more features to Athygli over the coming year, to provide out users with an even richer experience. Integration with business calendars or todo lists or providing support for integration a wider variety of devices - that's only a teaser of what about to come.
