Inspiration
We wanted to create a productivity tool that has a user friendly interface.
What it does
ProFile is a resume maker that creates customised resumes and optimises them via ML.
How we built it
We used HTML, CSS, JS for frontend, keeping our goal to keep it simple in mind, and used figma to make it appealing. For back-end we used flask. To improvise and give resume scores, we used a manually trained machine learning model made from scratch, using ML techstack.
Challenges we ran into
There were multiple challanges faced in backend as well as front end to keep the tool engaging and interesting, and we had to work with some tools we weren't proficient in.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're incredibly proud of our manually trained machine learning model, and our function which writes the .tex file. It was really thrilling to come up with the approaches.
What we learned
Every hackathon is always a great learning experience, writing latex, making our own model barely scratches the surface. The most important thing we learned was knowing the difference between ambition and overambition and how long and short 24 hours is atthe same time.
What's next for ProFile
We would love to improve on our ML model, and involve more templates.
