ProfGO

Inspiration We wanted to make the experience of getting to know your professors more engaging and interactive for new students. Traditional methods of learning about professors can be pretty dry, so we aimed to create something fun that also helps students get familiar with their campus.

What it does ProfGO is a web app designed to help new students get to know their professors in a fun and interactive way. It features a professor search tool, a guessing game where students can test their knowledge about their professors, and a university map to help them navigate the campus.

How we built it We used React for the front-end to create a dynamic and responsive user interface. Firebase serves as our backend to manage and store professor information. For the guessing game and search features, we utilized custom components and integrated various APIs for map functionality.

Accomplishments that we're proud of We successfully built a fully interactive professor search feature and a fun guessing game that adds an element of gamification to learning about professors. The university map is fully integrated and helps students easily find important locations on campus.

What's next for ProfGO We wish to add more features like finding professors' office locations, bringing professors on board.
