Our inspiration for this project was many of our own families, who struggled with their small businesses in the COVID economy. We sought to create a scalable and cost-effective distribution network to help small business owners deliver their products to consumers at a reasonable price.

What it does

Delivr connects businesses with a network of drivers who can offer their driving services to fulfill shipping needs of any length, timeframe, or location. Drivers, on the other hand, can offer their vehicle and time in exchange for money.

How we built it

We created the Delivr web app in Python's Django, and used HTML and CSS to handle the front-end

Challenges we ran into

We initially created the entire frontend in React.JS, but ran into serious issues integrating it with Django's token authentication process. Instead, we moved everything--7 hours before the deadline--to Django.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the UI, which is very functional, and we are proud of the idea, which we believe can positively benefit our communities.

What we learned

We learned a lot about time management and planning, as the project demanded more of us in a shorter timeframe than many projects in school.

What's next for Delivr

Next steps are to integrate payment processes and develop a G2M strategy.
