Inspiration
Our team drew our inspiration from contemporary fashion brands - having worked in retail and understanding the importance of how a sales assistant can make (or break) the shopping experience for a brand. Hence, our problem space and solution specifically focused on how brands could effectively integrate their operations into the metaverse while still maintaining key competitive advantages.
Market User Research
Based on our secondary research, we found that there was a plethora of CXM (customer experience management) tools available in the market to handle customer requests and support tickets although none provided brands the ability to maintain that human interaction and personalized touch that many retail customers liked. In addition, with the advent of new and novel technologies, this also spurred a shift in consumer behavior specifically within the fashion industry with brands such as Gucci leading the charge and investing in the Metaverse - creating a sense of excitement that the Metaverse would be the ‘next big thing’ and the norm that consumers would soon expect.

Solution
This is done via our Style Room platform which serves as an web application built upon a brand’s existing e-commerce platform that allows users to instantly connect with a trained virtual assistant from the brand in order to receive personalized product recommendations and styling tips. In addition, users will also be able to virtually try on, not just one product at a time but multiple pieces of clothing in order to truly visualize how full outfits match.

1 click connect - allows users to instantly connect with a trained virtual sales assistant Virtual styling - allows users to layer and visualize full outfits instead of individual pieces on a personalized avatar Digital + Physical fulfillment - allows users to pick up their purchases in store or have them delivered to an address of their choice (their digital avatar gets a copy too) Organic engagement - virtual store assistants (VSA’s) are actual remote workers from the brand - no bots! Data-driven recommendations - VSA’s instantly have access to customer demographic data as well as past purchasing behavior in order to provide personalized recommendations Backed by Blockchain - customer data is stored on the Blockchain so VSA’s from multi-label brands are able to access the same profiling data

What's next for the product
With the development of our core MVP features, the product will have to meet our 6-month and 12-month success indicators in order to justify the further development of a flagship branded meta-store which entails a large financial investment due to the rising costs of digital real estate. In addition, major product updates include the support of cryptocurrencies as well as the provision of NFT’s for loyal customers.
