Inspiration
We took inspiration from the Pomodoro studying method where it is 25 minutes on, 5 minutes off, but taking that idea and rewarding the users for completing predetermined goals
What it does
Prompts the user to input their goals group from least importance (small) to most importance) (large) and once the user completes their task, they tick it off on the task list and the program will automatically give them an amount of time, based off of the task completed, to play a small mini-game to wind down but keep your mind engaged
How we built it
A combination of python, pygame and tkinter to write the logic, game, and task menu respectively
Challenges we ran into
Working with git, collaborating with others for the first time, learning new libraries on the spot, debugging unexpected behaviour, and most importantly the physics collision logic for the mini-game portion.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Completed product (not polished but barebones prototype)
What we learned
To be able to switch off of an idea once we are able to deduce that it is not realistic
What's next for Productivity timer game
Physics engine, multiplayer, level builder/generation, better U/I outputs
