Inspiration
College Students need to effectively organize their tasks. Currently, in Rutgers, we use the Canvas interface, but it offers no customizability. We wanted to give students easy access in their browser through an extension that allows them to set tasks and also motivate them to study in healthy manner with Pomodoro timer.
What it does
It helps college students create tasks and mark as complete in the app, and they can even see the completed tasks. IT also comes inbuilt with a Pomodoro timer, that helps them effectively manage their time studying
How we built it
We first built the task manager, and allowed for it to be completed and be added to the completed section. Then we built the Pomodoro timer with breaks and customizable time settings.
Challenges we ran into
We created two different files for the to-do list and timer, and we had issues with integrating both of them.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We have a good interface, and a quick and easy way to add tasks and start the timer. The UI is really good. The functionality is clear.
What we learned
We learned how to collaborate with each other in a group , and how to effectively split tasks for the most efficiency. We also learned an extra amount about each langauge we used.
