Inspiration
Being a university student is surely not easy with so many deadlines, assignments, job applications, and lastly time for some work life balance. Amidst all the academic stress, and urge to excel, a productivity app like student planner would definitely help - A thought of a student.
What it does
This mobile application helps students to organize their tasks by helping them choose their task category, choose their task date and make a list of all the tasks. This will send email or text messages as reminders to finish upcoming tasks, and to cross the completed tasks from the list.
How we built it
This application is built using Java, and Android Studio. The Prototype of this application is done on Figma, and the design is implemented on Android Studio. The database used for this application is SQL Lite, and Room.
Challenges we ran into
Running Android Studio on the device (due to some bugs) Implementing all the features in 24 hours.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are extremely proud that as a group of 3 members, we were able to implement most of the features as planned. The design on Android Studio is almost same as our Figma prototypes.
What we learned
- Working on Android Studio as beginners
- Connecting database (SQL Lite) to the Android Studio
What's next for WellDone- Student Planner
We will import cohere, and Twilio API to send reminders to students using their phone numbers or email ids. We are planning to implement a bot to do input validation while user creates an account. To reduce anxiety and stress, we will create soothing music options by importing Spotify API, and a statistics chart to show how productive user was each day.
