Inspiration

The spark for PersonifyAI came from a common frustration: user research is expensive, and as a result, personas often aren't readily available to product teams. Key information for the design process - like the work models from Contextual Design - is often missing. This creates a "bottleneck of brilliance," where great ideas get stuck. We wanted to bring all that crucial insight to the foreground and give innovators that first conversation about their idea, not in weeks, but in minutes.

What it does

PersonifyAI is an AI-powered platform for validating, brainstorming, and co-creating product ideas. It provides a library of AI-driven user personas for instant, real-time feedback. Beyond validation, its "Innovator's Sandbox" allows users to co-create with a panel of AI personas using structured methods like the "Six Thinking Hats." Every session ends with an LLM-powered summary of key insights and recommendations.

How we built it

We brought PersonifyAI to life using a variety of tools, including Bolt.new, Figma, Stitch, and Google's Gemini AI.

Challenges we ran into

Our biggest challenge was that we're not software engineers. We are interaction designers with a strong product mindset but had no prior experience with databases or complex backend systems. We had to learn a tremendous amount on the fly to build a fully functional application.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are incredibly proud that we managed to create an entire app, complete with a database and a sophisticated AI integration! As designers, building something so valuable and technically complex from nothing is a huge accomplishment for us.

What we learned

This project taught us the value of patience and resilience. We also learned that having a stronger, clearer product vision from the very beginning would have helped us avoid some costly and time-consuming refactoring along the way.

What's next for PersonifyAI

We plan to build out additional use cases. Our next major step is to have the entire persona creation process handled by a specialized crew of AI agents. We have a solid plan for this but didn't have time to implement it during the hackathon.
