Inspiration
We wanted to create a tool that we personally would use, and after some discussion we concluded on creating a product to help with the planning and completion of our assignments, as well as making studying easier.
What it does
Creates a personalized study schedule based on the difficulty of the individual class, how much free time you have to study, as well as the difficulty of the specific assignments.
How we built it
We used Python for the backend, and using HTML we were able to develop the front end.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge that we ran in to was the development of the time management algorithm, as well as getting the final schedule printed.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We started off with Java, but after receiving some advice from a mentor we were able to quickly pivot into writing the program in Python.
What we learned
We learned how to code in Python and HTML this weekend.
What's next for ProdKat
Ideally, developing this product into something that at the very least we would use, but potentially into a product in the market for college students.
