ProdigyPM

AI-powered product management that keeps your team aligned and focused.

Inspiration

Product management often means juggling endless tasks, tools, and updates.
We wanted to make that easier and give PMs a smarter assistant that automates routine work and helps teams stay on track without losing sight of the big picture.

What it does

ProdigyPM is an AI-assisted product management tool that connects directly to Jira and GitHub.
It automates backlog grooming, sprint planning, and progress summaries through natural language.
With ProdigyPM, teams can plan and organize work faster, stay synced across platforms, and reduce the time spent on manual coordination.

How we built it

We built ProdigyPM using React, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB.
The AI capabilities are powered by Google’s Gemini API, while repository data is managed through the GitHub REST API.
The interface was designed in Figma and styled with Tailwind CSS to ensure a clean, modern, and responsive user experience.

Challenges we ran into

Syncing AI responses with live GitHub and Jira data was tricky, especially ensuring accurate, real-time updates.
Managing multiple API authentications and rate limits under time pressure required careful coordination.
Building smooth user flows across multiple tools within the short hackathon timeframe.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a functional AI product manager that converts plain English into actionable sprint plans.
Designed a clean and intuitive UI that makes complex workflows simple.
Integrated multiple APIs and AI features seamlessly within the hackathon window.

What we learned

We learned how to blend AI with real-world developer tools, design efficient backend communication between APIs, and work as a team under intense deadlines.
We also gained a deeper understanding of prompt design, user experience, and project management automation.

What's next for ProdigyPM

We plan to extend ProdigyPM with Slack and Notion integrations, smarter AI prioritization, and collaborative dashboards for multi-team projects.
Our goal is to make ProdigyPM the ultimate productivity companion for modern product teams.
