Inspiration

I created procredito.pl because I wanted to make financial information easier to understand and compare. Many loan and banking offers are difficult to evaluate because costs, APR, fees and conditions are presented in different ways. My goal was to build a platform that combines clear comparisons, useful tools and financial analysis in one place.

What I Learned

While developing the project, I learned a lot about financial data processing, APIs, automation, SEO, website performance and user experience. I also learned how important it is to present complex financial information in a simple and transparent way. Working on the platform helped me better understand how technology can support financial education and decision-making.

How I Built the Project

procredito.pl was built on Joomla and extended with custom PHP modules, API integrations, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I developed financial calculators, automated data processing and proprietary analytical tools such as PCI – Procredito Credit Index and PBS – Procredito Bank Score. The platform also uses financial and economic data to support comparisons, analysis and market monitoring.

Challenges

One of the biggest challenges was keeping financial data accurate and up to date while maintaining good website performance. API reliability, server limits, caching, Joomla upgrades, SEO, Core Web Vitals and security configuration all required continuous optimisation.

Another challenge was standardising data from different financial sources so that users could compare offers consistently. Building PCI and PBS also required creating a clear analytical methodology that could transform complex market information into practical indicators.

The project continues to evolve as I add new calculators, improve data analysis, optimise performance and develop new tools for both consumers and business partners.
