ProcrastNation

ProcrastNation (MadHacks 2017)

ProcrastNation is a web application designed to encourage daily productivity using the Pomodoro technique. The Pomodoro technique uses a timer to promote a short period of focus before taking a break. These short periods of focus can vary in length and are called Pomodoros.

This website facilitates the Pomodoro Technique through use of a timer and a log of your activities. Once you have completed a single Pomodoro, the system will keep track of it in a database (built using Firebase) and display your Pomodoros throughout the week in convenient bar graph implemented using the Google Chart API. In addition, a line graph will display your average productivity rating to help you find a work habit that works best for you. You are also able to see your recent Pomodoros and your own thoughts of them.

ProcrastNation is intended for all users who would like to create new habits to fight against procrastination. Users are encouraged to start using the Pomodoros with short periods of time followed by break periods. It is encouraged that the user relaxes by playing games, drinking water, walking around, or any activity that allows the user to step away from the task at hand. On your personal page, you can also see a leaderboard of your friends so you can see who is the most productive!
