Inspiration
Procrastination is a huge problem in our lives and the lives of our peers. We came up with this idea long before Clock Hacks because of how useful we pictured it being. Clock Hacks was our chance to make it.
What it does
Honestly, its mostly like any other to do list app. We have categories, tasks, due dates, etc. Our spin though is what we feel makes it better and actually useful. Users can see the tasks they have to do for the day with the most important ones (closest to due date and highest difficulty) highlighted and higher opacity than the others. Users can also see a visualization of what tasks they have on each day of the upcoming week.
How we built it
pain and suffering. react and firebase
Challenges we ran into
We clearly ran into struggles with the styling because of lack of time. We were also both sick, which made things much harder
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to create a skeleton of the functionality that wasn't buggy or broken. This was a first for our hackathon projects.
What we learned
We learned so much about react and firebase, and the limits we can go to on a weekend where we were both sick
What's next for Procrastimate
We'd like to improve the ui, as it is very basic right now, as we only had time to make the functionality. We'd also like to deploy it to a domain and turn it into a PWA to make it cross platform. This way we can actually use it.
