What inspired me
I have zero coding experience. When I saw the MeDo Hackathon, I thought: "There's no way I can build an app."
But then I realized - AI changes everything. Anyone can build now.
I built Procrast because every remote worker, student, and freelancer has that moment when they just... didn't do the task. Awkward conversations follow. Stress follows.
What if instead of panic, you had humor?
How I built it
I used MeDo - an AI platform that turns natural language into working applications.
I typed one prompt:
"Build a fun web app called 'Procrastination Excuse Generator' with a button, AI-generated excuses, copy to clipboard, and dark mode."
MeDo built the entire app in 15 minutes. No code. No stress.
What I learned
- AI can now build production-ready applications from text alone
- You don't need to be a developer to solve real problems
- The hardest part isn't coding - it's choosing the right idea
Challenges I faced
- First time using Discord - learned how to join servers and post in #showcase
- Deploying the app - figured out the one-click deploy button
- Keeping it simple - resisted adding too many features
The result
A live, working AI app: https://app-b4tnjlpq7apt.appmedo.com
Funny excuses. One click. Zero code.
