I'd like to submit two ideas to improve Devpost:

Pro-Level Hackathons

I'd like to propose the implementation of a pro-level, exclusive category of hackathons that can only be entered after winning a certain number of previous hackathons. Sponsors can have the option of making their hackathon open to all, or choosing only pro hackers to enter. It would make for an interesting competition that would surely lead to innovative results to allow only those with X amount of winning projects to enter submissions. I would expect the prize amounts to be higher as well. This benefits sponsors by ensuring vetted talent will be competing for their prize dollars.

Pro-level participation can be rewarding for participants, as visibility for them will be increased and may therefore lead to job opportunities or other offers. I think this could be beneficial for participants, sponsors and Devpost itself by offering a special tier of participation.

I've suggested the addition of pro-level tiers to entice the best developers and hackers from around the world. I noticed that no other platform, at least from what I've researched, has included this feature.

Native Token Crypto Reward System

Create a new blockchain-based "Devpost Coin" that can be used for additional prizes. Upon minting, Devpost can maintain a significant amount of the supply to be used as a reward for entering or winning hackathons. Having the reward system on the blockchain seems to be in the spirit of the brand as Devpost has sponsored so many blockchain hackathons. It could also, at least initially, be a low cost way (in terms of initial investment) of incentivizing participation and adding extra value to the platform.

Devpost NFTs would also naturally follow, and can be awarded on a special basis. Please see attached visual for potential distribution of tokens.

I've suggested this reward system to help add more value to the platform and to help engage with users. The value of the Devpost coin can be subject to fluctuations in value, and may have other future use cases that could be very exciting. I think as the platform grows and becomes even more well known in the developer community, the "Devpost Coin" value will increase.
