Inspiration

Job seekers often rely on AI-powered resume tools to improve their resumes, generate cover letters, and prepare for interviews. However, these platforms require users to upload highly sensitive personal information such as contact details, work history, education, certifications, and professional achievements.

Once uploaded, users lose visibility into how their data is stored, processed, or shared.

We wanted to solve this problem by building an AI-powered career assistant where users retain ownership of their resumes while still benefiting from powerful AI capabilities.

Using Midnight's privacy-preserving blockchain technology, we built a platform where sensitive resume data remains confidential while AI provides personalized career insights through secure, permission-controlled workflows.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was integrating powerful AI capabilities without compromising user privacy.

Traditional AI applications usually send raw user data directly to AI services. We redesigned the workflow so that confidential information remains protected while still enabling intelligent analysis.

Another challenge was designing permission-based sharing that is intuitive for users while demonstrating Midnight's confidential smart contract capabilities.

Balancing security, usability, and performance required several iterations of the architecture.
