Privacy_Bridge is a zero-knowledge-powered privacy wallet and smart-contract system built on the Midnight testnet. Users can create or import wallets, privately deposit and withdraw shielded tokens and send funds without revealing transaction history. This is achieved through a Compact smart contract, ZSwap-based private transfers and a local zk-proof server, creating a complete pipeline for privacy-preserving value movement. The backend handles wallet creation, syncing, private balance queries and contract interaction, while the frontend offers an intuitive interface for checking balances and sending transactions. Throughout the development process, we overcame challenges such as locked binaries on macOS, missing wallet SDK helper methods, WebSocket compatibility in Node and enforcing Midnight’s strict directory structure. We gained insights into the synergy between privacy smart contracts, ZK proofs and shielded coin systems, as well as the safe integration of these components with a modern frontend. Looking ahead, we plan to expand Privacy_Bridge into a comprehensive wallet dashboard with multi-asset support, stealth addresses, mobile integration and cross-chain shielded transfers, ultimately bringing true privacy to everyday cryptocurrency users.
