🚀 Inspiration

Many students spend more time preparing study materials than actually learning. Traditional quiz tools are often rigid, manual, and uninspiring — while modern learners need something smart, fast, and adaptive.
That’s why we built Prisus.ai — an AI-powered education platform that transforms any topic or content into interactive quizzes and flashcards in seconds.

⚙️ What It Does

Prisus.ai helps students and educators create, practice, and share quizzes effortlessly using AI.

  • 🧾 Input a topic, paste text, or upload study content.
  • 🤖 Prisus instantly generates relevant questions and answers using AI (powered by GROQ).
  • 🧠 Learners can take quizzes, review results, and improve through repetition.
  • 👩‍🏫 Educators can use Prisus to create quick assessments or share quizzes with students.

It’s designed to make studying simpler, smarter, and more engaging.

🧩 How We Built It

  • Frontend: React (for component-based, responsive UI)
  • Styling: CSS animations and transitions for smooth, youthful visuals
  • Backend: Node.js + Express
  • AI Engine: GROQ API for quiz and flashcard generation
  • Hosting: Railway (backend) and Vercel (frontend)
  • File Parsing: Libraries for reading and extracting text from PDF and PPTX files

Everything was built to stay lightweight, fast, and easily scalable.

⚔️ Challenges We Ran Into

  • Choosing the right AI API — we tested 4–5 different APIs before finding the one that gave consistent and reliable output.
  • Reading text from PDF and PPTX files was frustrating and time-consuming due to inconsistent formatting.
  • Handling CORS and API response delays during development.
  • Coordinating between different roles (frontend, backend, and UI support).
  • Ensuring animations were responsive and didn’t affect performance.

Despite all this, we managed to deliver a clean, working prototype.

🏆 Accomplishments That We’re Proud Of

  • Built a working AI-powered quiz platform within the hackathon timeline.
  • Integrated GROQ successfully for real-time, accurate quiz generation.
  • Designed a polished and animated frontend interface using pure CSS.
  • Achieved seamless deployment between Railway and Vercel.
  • Collaborated effectively as a 3-person team with complementary strengths.
