Inspiration

Despite the progress that has been achieved in the recent years, the LGBTQ+ community still faces discrimination and stigma in some parts of the world.

What it does

It helps people learn more about their sexual orientation, provides consultation with experts to help express themselves freely, access to inspirational stories, safe places, events, and a community to make friends with. It also has parental tips to help parents understand their children

How we built it

We built it using React.js framework.

Challenges we ran into

Designing the user friendly interface that could accommodate a wide range of users, while promoting the diversity and inclusiveness was one of the challenges we faced while building this project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the work we have done in creating this app, in a hope that this will have a positive impact on the lives of the LGBTQ+ community.

What we learned

We gained a lot of insight into the challenges involved in building an app from the scratch, while prioritizing the design and user experience, and being persistent in solving the challenge creatively.

What's next for PrismSpace

Dating Platform: A dating platform for the LGBTQ+ community to find their potential partners. Medical assistance: Resources for health and wellness awareness in the LGBTQ+ community. Hate Crime Reporting: Information and resources related to LGBTQ+ safety and enabling reporting incidents related to hate crime and discrimination. Language Support: Accessibility in multiple languages to cater to the users all over the world.
