Inspiration
Most technical SEO auditing tools are cloud-based, expensive, and require monthly crawl credits. I wanted to build a powerful, local-first alternative that gives developers and SEO professionals unlimited crawling power right from their desktop, while keeping their data 100% private and secure
What it does
PrismAudit is an advanced desktop SEO audit software that executes high-speed, local-first website crawls. It analyzes over 300 technical SEO dimensions, including:
Deep Crawling: Scans for broken links (404s), redirect chains, missing meta tags, and duplicate content.
JavaScript Hydration: Uses a headless Chromium engine to crawl dynamic SPAs (React, Angular, Next.js).
On-Device AI: Features a local LLM AI Recommendation Hub for automated technical fix suggestions and code outlines without needing external APIs.
Local-First Privacy: Runs entirely on your machine with offline SQLite storage—no cloud uploads or monthly limits.
How I built it
I engineered the high-performance crawling engine using FastAPI and Python, with server architecture evaluations on AWS Lightsail. For data persistence, I implemented a 100% offline SQLite database to ensure blazing-fast local read/writes. I also integrated a headless Chromium Web Rendering Service to handle complex JavaScript execution. Finally, the application was packaged with a premium UI and successfully published to the Microsoft Partner Center for Windows users
Challenges I ran into
Building a local crawler that doesn't consume all system RAM while processing thousands of URLs was a major challenge. I had to implement strict concurrency and throttling controls. Additionally, integrating an on-device AI engine that runs smoothly on standard desktop hardware without heavy API reliance required significant optimization.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I am incredibly proud of achieving native execution speed for the spider engine and successfully integrating the on-device AI recommendation hub. Transitioning from a concept to a fully polished, enterprise-ready software available on the Microsoft Store is a huge milestone.
What's next for PrismAuditSeo
I plan to expand the Competitor Radar features and introduce even deeper integrations with Google Search Console and PageSpeed Insights. I also want to optimize the headless Chromium engine further to reduce CPU overhead on lower-end devices during massive JavaScript crawls.
