Priority Crew App

Inspiration

Geocaching, the prompt given at the start: "Create an app that reconnects people with nature/ makes them touch grass".

What it does

Waypoints are placed across the globe. While a user walks in these waypoints with the app active, it'll activate a geofence and send the user notes left by other users who also walked through that waypoint.

How we built it

We made a flutter app with a firebase database.

Challenges we ran into

Google maps integration was difficult at first. Several team were absent for most or all of the competition.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to complete a lot of our planned features despite setbacks.

What we learned

We need to prepare better for the next hackathon so that we don't make the same mistakes.

What's next for Priority Crew App

There are options for building on what we already have including hosting it, getting users to join, adding features that were planned but couldn't be implemented during the hackathon.
