Inspiration

Cryptocurrency has been a widely-discussed topic for a long time. To help investers to find strategies with the highest return rate, we found some patterns in pricing of over 40 kinds of digital currencies. Therefore, our clients can use our dataset as a reference when creating their investment strategy.

What it does

We found some patterns in pricing of over 40 kinds of digital currencies. Therefore, our clients can use our dataset as a reference when creating their investment strategy.

How we built it

Firstly, we split the table into sublists with python. Then, we uploads processed data to matlab. Firstly, we tried 3 SVM to train our machine learning model. However, we found that it was not feasible since it cannot integrate our data patterns accurate enough. Finally, we used the smoothing model to analyze our data. The regression model showed the return rate pattern of each kinds of digital currency with data points over 8 years.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have precisely captured the pattern of a economic phenomenum and the price flow of over fourty kinds of criptocurrecies.

What we learned

Learned : We learned from scratch how to use database processesing utilities and languages. We learned how to read files and sort files. We dived deep into the realm of criptocurrencies and understood how they work better by analyzing their price patterns. We learned how to use matlab to form a clean graph utilizing regression learner. We learned how to interact with organizers and people with the same interest. We learned how to make powerful arguments for our project within a limited time.

What's next for Pricing patterns of cryptocurrency

In the future, we planned to continue to do data analysis in this aspect. Hope that we can find a more accurate patterns of pricing of digital currency.
