Inspiration- Being HomeDepot shoppers we wanted to create better ways to find the cheapest deals
What it does- It includes a deal-finder tool that scours for discounts and compares prices across platforms instantly, making sure users always get the lowest price available. The platform saves members time and money by eliminating the need to manually search through multiple websites for deals. Members can also set up alerts to get notified as soon as prices drop on specific products they care about. Overall, it’s like having a personal deal-hunting assistant focused on tools, materials, and home project essentials.
How we built it- The frontend we built through prompting on bolt and the backend we built through connections in Supabase data tables and using fastapi framework of python launched independently on our own server.
Challenges we ran into- Learning how to prompt, limited backend dev through bolt alone
Accomplishments that we're proud of- getting a minimal viable product in under 30 days
What we learned- Create a prompt plan, manage time to achieve maximum results, work on the team's strengths and allow individual skillset to shine.
What's next for PriceSniper- we will define a go to market strategy and begin user testing on current features
