Inspiration
The main inspiration for our program was our past ENSF 409 assignments, mainly the ones where we first practiced with interaction with the SQL database.
What it does
This program will try to find combinations of used furniture with missing pieces to find the cheapest option to fulfill a customer of complete furniture.
How we built it
Challenges we ran into
Two of the biggest challenges were the main price optimization and correctly accessing the database. It took us many hours to finish these two parts, especially since they are both linked closely.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
One of the accomplishments that we are proud of is that we are glad the program itself is functional and it's able to correctly access the database and return the correct items and cost.
What we learned
We have learned that the smallest of mistakes which are easy to miss, will cause us to lose more time in finding it and fixing it.
What's next for Price Optimizer
The next obvious step for Price Optimizer is a friendy GUI instead of the terminal.
