Inspiration
Keeping in mind User engagement, we thought that the best way to keep users hooked on to a platform would be through gamification (making it fun) and providing them some incentive to play :)
What it does
It is a game that shows a bunch of M&S products, whose prices the users have to guess. The closer the price, the higher your score. Since it's a daily challenge, the users will be allowed to play it once on a given day of the week, and at the end of each week the top 3 players on the leaderboard will get exciting M7S prizes/vouchers
How we built it
We build it primarily using Nodejs and ReactJS. We made use of Prisma for the database. The frontend was implemented using TailWindCss. The UI was designed on Figma.
Challenges we ran into
One of our teammates fell sick and had to the leave, which led to a few issues at first!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We all ended up learning a new piece of technology that was required for implementing the project.
What we learned
Time and crisis management :p
What's next for Price It Right
Using the data collected as a part of analytics for understanding the user's view point on prices (basically adding machine learning)!
