Inspiration

Our inspiration for Prezento came from the desire to simplify the often time-consuming process of creating professional presentation slides. We noticed that many individuals and businesses struggle with designing visually appealing presentations under tight deadlines. By leveraging AI, we aimed to create a tool that transforms ideas and content into stunning slides effortlessly, allowing users to focus more on their message and less on design.

What it does

Prezento is an AI-powered slide builder integrated with Canva. Users can generate presentation slides instantly by typing a description or uploading a PDF. Prezento processes this input and creates professional, customizable slides tailored to the user's needs. Users can adjust the generated outlines and finalize the slides, making the process of creating presentations quick and efficient.

How we built it

The backend is developed with robust algorithms that convert text and PDF content into structured slides. The frontend is seamlessly integrated with Canva’s platform, providing a user-friendly interface for easy slide generation and customization. We utilized various APIs for text analysis, PDF processing, and design generation to ensure smooth functionality.

Challenges we ran into

One of the significant challenges we faced was ensuring the accuracy and relevance of the AI-generated slides. We needed to fine-tune our algorithms to accurately interpret diverse inputs and produce high-quality slides that meet user expectations. Another challenge was integrating Prezento smoothly with Canva, ensuring a seamless user experience without any disruptions.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of successfully creating an AI tool that significantly reduces the time and effort required to create professional presentations. Our seamless integration with Canva, coupled with the intuitive user interface, makes Prezento a valuable tool for a wide range of users. Additionally, we have developed a robust credit-based system for fair and flexible usage.

What we learned

Through this project, we learned the importance of iterative development and user feedback in refining AI algorithms. We also gained valuable insights into integrating third-party platforms like Canva and the challenges associated with ensuring a seamless user experience. Furthermore, we understood the necessity of balancing advanced functionality with simplicity and usability.

What's next for Prezento

The next steps for Prezento include expanding our content source support to include DOCs, Notion pages, website URLs, and more. We plan to enhance our AI algorithms for even better slide generation accuracy and introduce more customization options for users. Additionally, we aim to gather more user feedback to continually improve the tool and explore potential partnerships to broaden Prezento’s reach and impact.
