Inspiration

The inspiration for this project is to help bring productions to life with new tools for controlling audio, lights, staging and video.

What it does

The Previsualization to Render Pipeline allows for an immersive view of rendered and live environments with the ability to control light, sound, video and staging components in an intuitive way that can be translated to industry-standard production hardware and software.

End users of any level in the theater, music, architecture, corporate events and sports industries can use this tool to try out new ideas, present examples, get comfortable in a space, and control live environments with a low barrier of entry in terms of cost and experience.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

The most challenging aspect was maintaining an accurate spatial positioning translation between the rendered and live environments and the external hardware and software Previs to Render Pipeline addresses.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The original concept for this project was a 3D audio panner. It snowballed from there. Our greatest accomplishment is incorporating all aspects of a production - sound, lights, video and staging - into one application.

What we learned

We learned the best ideas for features come from the industry professionals that we hope will be using this tool every day.

What's next for Previs to Render Pipeline

We recently completed multi-platform integration and are planning on implementing multi-user collaboration very soon!
