Inspiration

We just really like the movie Tangled

What it does

Demonstrates the capabilities of a basic yet powerful python graphics module built on tkinter while enamoring the end user with pretty colors.

How we built it

Centered around John M. Zelle's Graphics module, we used homebrewed algorithms and formulas to create movement, calculate color and size gradients. An extraordinary amount of effort was put into creating a believable landscape and environment, including the usage of natural mathematical patterns such as phi.

Challenges we ran into

We faced the grueling task of constant trial and error through aligning points and creating our formulas for the movement and colors of the lanterns as well as the pseudo-parallax qualities of the demo.
