Inspiration
We passionately want to improve access to healthcare for sub-Saharan Africans and we built a listing platform for health providers to improve access for patients and collaboration between these providers while creating a free EHR for the patient. However, the impact of COVID-19 made us build a triage in 5 Nigerian languages to connect people to doctors and Test Centers, but also enable agencies and the public to find PPEs and equipment faster and transparently, especially for government procurements.
What it does
Preskriber allows people to find and book doctors, hospitals, Labs and Ambulance services, as well as the ability to find medicines in the closet Pharmacy to a GPS location. With COVID-19, our triage connects people to doctors and Test Centers and we provide a marketplace for COVD-19 equipment needs.
How we built it
We built it by conceptualizing solutions to the several related problems and bundled the solutions into a platform and sourced the help of a developer to write the codes while we managed the scope and logic.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges we ran into include time management, working remotely, inadequate software development skills.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that the application is live and being tested by Users
What we learned
We learned that a lot can be done by just ''starting''. but also that the health space in many African markets still has gaps.
