Inspiration

Printers! We all have a love-hate relationship with them. When things are going well it is perfect. Just one glitch or driver issue and all hell breaks lose. There has been a proliferation of printer companion apps to make the printing process easier.These apps are what someone might use to print remotely or scan on the go.

What it does

The application analyzes printer companion review data scraped from the Google Play store. It looks at 4 companion apps: Epson SmartPanel, Epson iPrint, HP Smart and Canon Print.

How we built it

It was built using R and RStudio

Challenges we ran into

Building an easy to use UI was the biggest challenge

What we learned

It was a great experience learning about the different R NLP libraries

What's next for Presilo

No plans yet but if there is interest from others I can open source the application.
