Inspiration Driven by the need for personalized study support, we envisioned an AI companion that mimics a private tutor, helping students refine complex answers and synthesize dense lecture material efficiently.
What it does PrepStudy provides real-time exam evaluation, intelligent note summarization, interactive quiz generation, and voice-assisted tutoring to streamline the learning process.
How we built it Developed with React, Vite, and Tailwind CSS. We integrated the Gemini API for advanced text analysis and Firebase (Firestore/Auth) for secure user data management and synchronization.
Challenges we ran into Managing accurate, context-aware AI evaluations and ensuring seamless text extraction from various file types presented significant complexity in prompt engineering and image processing.
Accomplishments that we're proud of We successfully implemented a robust, adaptive evaluation engine and a cohesive, high-performance UI that delivers immediate academic feedback.
What we learned We gained deep insights into optimizing AI model interactions for educational purposes and refined our skills in building scalable, real-time web applications with Firebase.
What's next for PrepStudy We plan to integrate multi-modal learning analytics, expand support for more academic subjects, and introduce collaborative study rooms for peer-to-peer learning
