Premier League Fantasy Football

Inspiration

I and Fares are a huge fan of soccer and specially premier league soccer. We have been struggling to score good points. We decided to take this project as a way to help us increase our fantasy score and do better than our friends.

What it does

It uses linear programming to predict that best possible team of 15 players. We mainly focused on two parameters cost of a single player and his total score.

How we built it

We used our data analysis skills to study that data and then used PuLP, a linear programming library in python, to help predict the lineup.

Challenges we ran into

We both are new to pandas, so it took us some time to get the code right.

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

We built something that we really love. This motivated us to do better.

What we learned

How we can use data to make better decisions. We also learned how work with API's and Pandas Framework.

What's next for Premier League Fantasy Football:

We plan to add new features to it, eg. transfers. We also plan to use ML models to make the prediction better.
