Inspiration

Most social media platforms are built around one main behavior: scrolling.

People spend hours watching posts, reels and videos, but very little of that time turns into meaningful learning, skill development, collaboration or real-world opportunity.

At the same time, students and teachers often need to use many different applications for classes, attendance, discussions, meetings, tests, file sharing and communication.

We started building Prelhe around a different idea:

What if social media itself could become a place where people learn, teach, collaborate and take meaningful action?

Our vision is to combine the engagement of social media with the usefulness of an education and collaboration platform.

Education First

Education is one of the most important parts of Prelhe.

Instead of keeping educational tools completely separate from communication and social interaction, Prelhe brings them together inside groups and communities.

A teacher, school, college, coaching group, study community or learning team can use Prelhe for much more than simple messaging.

Educational features include:

  • Student Attendance
  • Polls
  • Questions and Answers
  • MCQ Tests and Exams
  • Live Meetings and Classes
  • Voice and Video Calls
  • Group Discussions
  • Real-time Group Chat
  • Study Material and File Sharing
  • Images, Videos and Media Sharing
  • Educational Announcements
  • Teacher/Admin Group Controls
  • Student Participation and Interaction
  • Live Sessions
  • Collaborative Learning
  • Learning Communities

For example, a teacher could communicate with students in a group, take attendance, conduct a poll, ask questions, organize an MCQ exam, share learning material and hold a live video session — without moving students between multiple applications.

Students can communicate with each other, ask questions, participate in discussions and continue learning beyond a traditional classroom.

This is an important part of what makes Prelhe different from a conventional social network.

What Prelhe Does

Prelhe is being built as an AI-native social, education and collaboration platform.

Along with its education tools, users can:

  • Create posts
  • Share stories
  • Upload reels and videos
  • Build personal and creator profiles
  • Follow people and communities
  • Send private messages
  • Create and participate in groups
  • Make voice calls
  • Make video calls
  • Host live sessions
  • Share photos, videos, documents and other media
  • Collaborate with people
  • Discover useful content
  • Build communities
  • Use creator tools
  • Access AI-assisted creative features

Rather than treating education, communication and social networking as completely separate experiences, Prelhe aims to connect them.

From Content to Action

We believe useful content should not end with a Like, View or Share.

Prelhe is being designed around action-oriented paths such as:

Learn · Collaborate · Hire · Join · Support · Buy

For example:

A student may discover educational content and continue learning.

A skilled person may find a project and collaborate.

A creator may build an audience and community.

A business may discover talent.

A learner may find a teacher or useful group.

A community may organize and work together.

The long-term goal is to help users move from simply discovering something to doing something useful with it.

AI in Prelhe

AI is being developed as an intelligence layer that supports users throughout the platform.

Prelhe integrates Google Gemini capabilities for AI-assisted experiences and is developing AI-powered tools for content and creation.

Our broader vision is for AI to help:

  • Understand useful content
  • Summarize information
  • Assist learning
  • Identify skills and interests
  • Translate information
  • Improve content creation
  • Help users discover relevant learning
  • Find useful communities
  • Connect people with collaborators
  • Connect skills with opportunities
  • Make content easier to understand and act upon

AI is not intended to replace teachers, creators or human interaction.

Its purpose is to make those interactions more useful, accessible and intelligent.

Communication and Collaboration

Learning and collaboration require strong communication tools.

Prelhe therefore combines educational features with real-time communication such as:

  • Private messaging
  • Group messaging
  • Real-time presence
  • Voice calling
  • Video calling
  • Live sessions
  • Media sharing
  • File sharing
  • Questions and discussions
  • Group interaction

A learning group can therefore function as both a classroom and a community.

A project group can function as both a communication space and a collaboration environment.

Creator and Social Ecosystem

Prelhe also provides the familiar experiences people expect from modern social platforms.

Users can create and discover:

  • Posts
  • Stories
  • Reels
  • Videos
  • Profiles
  • Creator content
  • Live content
  • Communities

Creator and subscription systems are also being developed so creators can build sustainable communities around their work.

By combining social discovery with education and collaboration, Prelhe aims to make entertainment and useful activity coexist on the same platform.

Camera and AI Creation Tools

Prelhe is also developing a Camera Studio and AI-assisted editing experience.

The goal is to help users create better photos, videos and social content directly from the platform while providing intelligent editing assistance.

These tools can support students, teachers, creators and ordinary users when creating educational or social content.

How We Built It

Prelhe is being developed as a full-stack platform using:

  • Laravel
  • PHP
  • PostgreSQL
  • Redis
  • Laravel Reverb
  • WebSockets
  • WebRTC
  • Google Gemini
  • Cloudflare
  • JavaScript
  • HTML
  • CSS

Laravel and PHP power the core application.

PostgreSQL is used as the primary structured database.

Redis supports high-speed caching, sessions and queues.

Laravel Reverb and WebSocket technologies support real-time functionality.

WebRTC supports real-time voice and video communication.

Google Gemini provides AI capabilities.

The architecture is being designed modularly so education, messaging, social content, AI, creator systems, payments and other services can continue evolving independently.

Challenges We Faced

One of our largest challenges was that Prelhe is not a single-purpose application.

An education system, social network, real-time messaging service, calling platform, AI system, live platform and creator ecosystem all have very different technical requirements.

Some of the challenges we worked through include:

  • Building real-time messaging
  • Attendance and education workflows
  • Poll and question systems
  • Examination functionality
  • Live communication
  • Voice and video calling
  • Group permissions and controls
  • PostgreSQL architecture
  • Redis caching and queues
  • Authentication and account security
  • Media uploads
  • AI integration
  • Creator infrastructure
  • Payment architecture
  • Scalability
  • Backup and recovery planning

Solving these problems has helped us gradually turn Prelhe from an idea into a much larger working platform.

Accomplishments We're Proud Of

We are especially proud of building education-focused capabilities directly into a social communication environment.

Major systems developed for Prelhe include:

  • Student attendance
  • Polls
  • Questions and discussions
  • MCQ exams
  • Educational groups
  • Real-time group communication
  • Live sessions
  • Voice and video calling
  • Study material and file sharing
  • Social feed
  • User profiles
  • Posts
  • Stories
  • Reels
  • Videos
  • Private messaging
  • Notifications
  • Creator functionality
  • Camera and AI editing tools
  • Subscription architecture
  • Security and device management
  • PostgreSQL production database
  • Redis-powered sessions, caching and queues
  • Real-time WebSocket infrastructure

The achievement we value most is not one individual feature.

It is the ability to connect learning, communication, content and collaboration into one ecosystem.

What We Learned

Building Prelhe taught us that creating a useful platform requires much more than adding features.

The most difficult part is making those features work together naturally.

We learned about:

  • Backend architecture
  • Database design
  • Real-time communication
  • WebSockets
  • WebRTC
  • Caching
  • Queues
  • Authentication
  • Security
  • AI APIs
  • Media systems
  • Scalability
  • Infrastructure

But our biggest learning was simpler:

Technology becomes more meaningful when it helps people learn, communicate and take action.

What's Next for Prelhe

Our next goal is to make Prelhe's education ecosystem even more powerful.

We want to continue improving:

  • Digital learning
  • Interactive classrooms
  • Exams and assessments
  • Attendance
  • Live learning
  • Student-teacher interaction
  • Collaborative learning
  • AI-assisted education
  • Real-time communication
  • Creator tools
  • AI intelligence
  • Platform scalability
  • Mobile experience

Our long-term vision is for Prelhe to become a platform where:

A student can learn. A teacher can teach. A group can collaborate. A creator can create. A skilled person can find opportunities. A business can discover talent. And a community can grow together.

Prelhe is not being built just to give people another place to scroll.

It is being built to help people learn, connect, create, collaborate and move forward.
