BabyBloom Companion

What does it do

A comprehensive AI-powered pregnancy companion application that assesses miscarriage risk, provides personalized guidance, and supports mothers throughout their pregnancy journey from conception to delivery. The app serves as a friendly companion, offering tailored recommendations, tracking progress, connecting mothers with healthcare providers, and extending support into postpartum care with community engagement features. The app delivers warm, personalized notifications and messages to accompany mothers through every stage of their pregnancy journey.

How we built it

I built this project using Medo. I split the project into small units that I turned into prompts to feed into Medo. Each feature was tested immediately to resolve any bugs through reprompting and iterating until each piece worked correctly

Challenges we ran into

I encountered challenges of inefficient prompting that led to the quick depletion of my credits before achieving the intended target. But thanks to medo for always recharging. Time scope was another challenge to achieve a fully fledged AI application that can be placed on the market directly. Another challenge appeared during requirements elicitation, most especially on the risk assessment data that triggers pregnancy loss, which required a health professional team member.

Being able to transform my idea into an MVP within a short period of time without coding.

What we learned

In the era of Artificial Intelligence, it has now become easy to move from the ideation stage to actualization very fast. I have to adapt and evolve very fast in the ever-changing technology era. Working as a team returns faster outputs.

What's next for Pregnacy Guardian

Access the source code, improve inadequate features, roll it out for testing with a few selected testers, publish it on the Play Store and Apple Store, market it to the users through different forums, leverage on fertility clinics, and healthcare centres to gain market for BabyBloom Companion
