Inspiration
I learned that up to 60% of amateur sports injuries are preventable with proper warm up. I wanted to build a tool that bridges the gap between professional sports science and the everyday athlete. I wanted to answer the question: "If I play Soccer today what exactly should I stretch and why?"
What it does
PreGame is an interactive web application that personalises injury prevention.
How we built it
I built PreGame using web technologies to ensure it runs fast on any device without heavy frameworks
Challenges we ran into
I moved away from annoying browser alert() popups and instead built custom, error handling (the red warning box) to create a smoother user experience.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm really proud of how the body image updates instantly when you select a sport. It makes the data feel real and urgent.
What we learned
We learned the importance of visual feedback—like the progress bar changing color from Green to Red based on the risk score.
What's next for PreGame
Using LocalStorage or a database to track risk reduction over time.
