Predictive Policing

Crime rates have been higher than now. It is necessary to analyze crime statistics and detect areas with a higher crime in order to establish more security.

Comment

The crimes that have been happening recently are horrifying and it's surprising to see how people react to such news so normally. If this goes on, There won't be much humanity to look forward to in the coming years. This is what inspired us to work on this project and try to contribute to the welfare of humanity.

Our project deals with analyzing crime data provided by https://ncrb.gov.in which gives the official data regarding all crime statistics. By analyzing this data, we project the current status and also predict future trends in crime based on geography. Knowing this, It can help law enforcement agencies to take measures accordingly.

We built it using Jupyter notebook and Python Programming. We have used several data prediction algorithms to check how well each one works against the given data.

We learned the proper use of data algorithms and also the importance of using the right prediction algorithm in order to maximize the accuracy

There's always a better program to write and improve and we will make sure to increase the accuracy and also improve the performance of the program
