Inspiration
The project aims to convince people that taking care of what they eat will give them a better life and save them a great deal of money.
What it does
It predicts anemia based on diet and demographic variables
How we built it
We considered data National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) which is major program of the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS)-CDC. We did feature engineering, model building, model interpretation using SHAP, and displaying it on dashboard using streamlit.
Challenges we ran into
Since we had less time we were only able to prediction for anemia
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to display results on dashboard.
What we learned
We got understanding about out diet intake and how it could affect of having disease in near future. We enjoyed through process and learnt technical details about model tuning, and building dashboard.
What's next for Predictive analytics on diseases considering diet intake
We can work for predicting more diseases considering more diet variables. Store diet data on daily basis. Patient might get idea how much quantity of food to consume and how to save on cost.
