Inspiration
I wanted to analyse the sports market for big 5 leagues and move on to other sports
What it does
It combines all the different csv files into one dataframe, which is then used for ml analysis, then this csv is sent to lakehouse as file and converted to table, the table is then used with power bi for further analysis, the csv gets updated everyweek using the lakehouse incremental feature. and I make money by predicting football matches.
How we built it
I am using fabric to use the csv data and use it in notebook, clean it, check and run some ml models on it, and save the updated csv to lakehouse table. Then use this lakehouse tables to create a semantic model and generate a power bi report on top of it
Challenges we ran into
cleaning the data and combining it and selecting relevant columns then running ml algos on it
Accomplishments that we're proud of
we finally created a working report which helps in prediciting the matches and make us some money.
What we learned
Learnt a lot about lakehouses, data factory and ML models and how to use PBI for analysis
What's next for predictive analysis on sports "Football"
We will take this up for next level with more sports and more historical data Also add better prediction models and use more prediciton concepts also use this for stocks.
