Inspiration

I was just searching for a ML project to do under Open innovation section, So I surfed few Smart India Hackathon problem statements & found this one. And decided to take this up.

What it does

This project is aimed at predicting the tariff rates for truck load by using the different machine learning algorithms like linear regression, Decision Tree regressor and more can also be used. Using more algorithms to find best one for prediction.

How we built it

I followed fundamental steps in building it like :

• Framing the problem first
• Data Collection
• Data Analysing
• Selecting a Model
• Training the model
• Evaluating the model
• Testing the Model
• Making Predictions

Challenges we ran into

My main challenge was was to filter out data & the process of data cleaning was a hectic one.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud that at the end I successfully implemented 2 algorithms, few more can also be done.

What we learned

This was my 1st ML hackathon project , So I learnt a lot of things here like how to start to a ML Project ,how to choose datasets/models, etc.

What's next for Prediction Of Tariff Rates

I try to implement more algorithms to achieve best accuracy.
