Inspiration
The inspiration for this study was the surprising lack of scientific literature regarding how different civil indices interact with environmental measures.
What it does
We built a ML model which accurately predicts CO2 emissions based on a nation's degree of freedom.
How we built it
We used Python in a Google Colab environment in addition to other packages.
Challenges we ran into
We found it difficult to choose which indices would be most likely to produce meaningful results with respects to CO2 emissions. However, following a review of the scientific literature, we decided to analyze the few areas which can be peripherally corroborated by previous studies.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the accuracy of our model.
What we learned
We learned what it means to work with data and conduct analyses using the information we know and generate conclusions.
