Inspiration
Idea: Build and model/predictor of the rate of increase/decrease or constant value of Isolation/Treatment/Testing Capacity (/# tents/clinics, etc.) needed per geographical area over time in order to stem the epidemic. Question: Does this fit in well with Challenge or should I expand/change the idea?
How it works
Method: MODELING ISSUE: (well not an issue yet, more like open for feedback) Method: 1) use simple epidemic model of quarantine which I will bring from my Keeling & Rohani textbook and/or individual-based/object-oriented/microsimulations in order to model/predict the control/dynamics of the epidemic and 2) other computational/mathematical/spatial methods in order to predict and/or interpret # cases (location, time) and feed this into the control model in 1) NEED: Teammates: Any interest? I may have to be a part-time member of the team as I'm also a technical volunteer for all teams... Question: Does this fit in well with Challenge or should I expand/change the idea?
