Inspiration

We were inspired by the difficulties people face in the legal system. Our goal is to make it easier for everyone. We want to simplify things like pre-trial conferences, filing cases, and talking between clients and advocates. Our inspiration is to use technology to make the legal process more straightforward and helpful for everyone involved.

What it does

Our platform is a one-stop solution for streamlining legal processes. It conducts pre-trial conferences, simplifies case filing, and facilitates seamless communication between clients and advocates. The platform also excels in efficient case tracking and provides a user-friendly interface for selecting advocates. Whether you're preparing for trial, filing a case, or connecting with your legal team, our platform aims to make the entire legal journey smooth and accessible.

How we built it

We used React for the website's look and feel, with cool extras like react-dom, react-icons, and framer-motion. SendBird SDK made our chats super fast, while Zego Cloud rocked our video conferencing. On the backend, Node.js and Express.js powered everything, and MongoDB Atlas kept our data in check. Teamwork of React, SendBird, Zego Cloud, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB Atlas made our website awesome!

Challenges we ran into

We encountered challenges during our project, particularly in dealing with integration errors and library version discrepancies. Integrating various components required meticulous coordination, akin to solving a puzzle. Additionally, managing different library versions felt like juggling diverse tools speaking slightly different languages. Despite these hurdles, our team's determination prevailed. We successfully navigated through integration complexities and resolved library version issues, ensuring a robust and reliable project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're thrilled about creating personalized user dashboards, ensuring everyone has a unique and easy-to-use experience. Offering different logins for lawyers, clients, and others makes our platform inclusive and collaborative. Efficient case tracking using a special Case Number Reference (CNR) simplifies monitoring. Our integrated chat app and seamless video conferencing bring real-time communication to legal proceedings, making collaboration smoother and more accessible. These achievements showcase our commitment to a user-friendly and technologically advanced platform.

What we learned

Developing our project taught us the ins and outs of the judiciary system, especially in pre-trial conferences and user hierarchies. On the technical side, we gained hands-on experience with software development kits (SDKs), using tools like SendBird SDK and Zego Cloud for real-time chat and video conferencing. Connecting with MongoDB Atlas deepened our understanding of effective database management. This journey broadened our knowledge of legal processes and enhanced our technical skills, enabling us to create a platform that meets the judiciary's needs while incorporating advanced communication technologies.

What's next for Pre-Trial Conference

Looking ahead for the Pre-Trial Conference platform, we aim to enhance user experience by listening to feedback and making the system more tailored. Our future plans include adding features like file sharing, online payments, video recording, and improved document handling for a seamless and secure legal process. We're also exploring the possibility of using artificial intelligence and making the platform accessible on mobile devices. The goal is to stay at the forefront of technology while collaborating with legal experts to meet evolving needs in the legal landscape. Exciting times are ahead!
