Inspiration

Interview preparation platforms typically overwhelm you with generic questions that have nothing to do with the company you are interviewing for. We needed something better—practice that feels useful, effective, and specific. Praxis came out of frustration with spending hours on static.

What it does

Praxis creates practice questions and simulated interviews tailored to companies. Rather than taking a stab in the dark, customers receive targeted preparation specific to their desired positions. It monitors improvement, identifies where you've improved, and makes interview practice less like trekking in a desert and more like training with a GPS.

How we built it

We employed [insert your stack here: e.g. backend using FastAPI, frontend using React/Tailwind, Supabase for storage, etc.] and incorporated AI models to produce plausible questions and mimic interviews. The dashboard monitors attempted questions, answered ones, and overall progress, so the entire experience is quantifiable.

Challenges we ran into

Creating relevant, position-based questions rather than generic questions.

Finding the right balance between AI creativity and accuracy.

Time limit (having to develop both mock interview + analytics in hackathon timeframe).

Mashing it all together smoothly without destroying the UI every other five minutes.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Created a functional prototype that actually produces usable, company-tailored questions.

Created a clear, elegant dashboard that shows progress.

Succeeded in mimicking actual interview situations, not merely Q&A dumps.

Brought it all together under hackathon timelines.

What we learned

How critical aligning AI output with actual-world expectations is.

How much UX is crucial in interview preparation tools.

That hackathon grind is essentially a sport of endurance.

What's next for Praxis - Interview prep.

Grow company-specific question datasets.

Introduce behavioral and system design interview modes.

Enhance analytics for personal feedback.

Integrate with calendars to schedule mock interviews.

Make Praxis a one-stop prep platform, not merely a hackathon prototype.
