Inspiration

around an hour into the hackathon i started to feel like i was in jail, then i realized that homeless people live in areas worse than jail, so i want to help them

What it does

gives you the lnk for the closest homeless shelter near you based on your location using a municiple or county

How we built it

Css, python, javascript, google docs, Html, bunch of homeless shelter websites, Vs code

Challenges we ran into

finding reliable and for some reaosn my Vs code kept crashing ever 30 minutes, so i had to restart the project atleast twice

Accomplishments that we're proud of

how well the website turned out and how easily i was actually able to learn the html and Css for the website code which took me around 3.5 hours, im also really happy that the website works.

What we learned

this hackathon was a great experience for me and i learned a lot of things along the way, neural networks, API's, github, Vscode extensions, Html,Javascript, dir function on modules in python, overfitting, underfitting. React. etc

What's next for Prakhar's homeless shelter finder

right now the webiste is only limited to 40 areas and doesnt cover a lot of places in new jersey, and i want to expand the range of the location into zipcodes.
