• Inspiration
I wanted to build a portfolio that wasn’t just another static resume site — but a living, interactive space that reflects my creativity and developer identity. I’ve always believed your portfolio should feel like you — expressive, dynamic, and crafted with care. This idea inspired me to design a visually engaging site with smooth animations, creative transitions, and personal touches that make it stand out.
• What it does
My website showcases who I am as a developer — featuring my About Me, Experience, Skills, Projects, and Contact sections. It includes a custom loading screen with my PS logo, smooth scrolling navigation, animated hero background, and even a footer icon that plays music — something unique and fun that represents my personality.
• How we built it
The site was built using React and Vite for performance and scalability. I used CSS3 and TailwindCSS for responsive and elegant styling, and Framer Motion to power fade-ins, scroll effects, and smooth transitions throughout the site. It’s hosted on Vercel for fast deployment and global accessibility. Every element — from the hero animations to the contact links — was coded with attention to detail to ensure an engaging and fluid experience on both mobile and desktop.
• Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was balancing animation smoothness with performance. Integrating subtle effects without compromising load speed took careful optimization. Another challenge was maintaining a consistent design language across all sections while keeping the layout visually fresh and responsive.
• Accomplishments that we're proud of
I’m proud of how every part of the portfolio feels intentional — from the animated hero section and logo loop to the music icon in the footer. The site captures both my technical ability and my creative side. Building everything from scratch using React and Vite, and ensuring perfect responsiveness across devices, is something I’m genuinely happy about.
• What we learned
This project helped me strengthen my understanding of React architecture, component structuring, and animation flow with Framer Motion. I also learned a lot about optimizing websites for performance and deployment through Vercel, and how small design decisions can significantly enhance user experience.
• What's next for Prajwal Srivastava — Personal Developer Portfolio
Next, I plan to add theme customization options, an AI-driven project recommender, and possibly a blog section to share insights from my developer journey. I also aim to keep evolving the design, animations, and interactive experiences to reflect my growth as a developer.
