Praelect

Inspiration

 We wanted to access office hours quicker.

What it does

 The project takes a CSV file with all of the office hour information and formats it into an android app with a list of courses and their office hours. In the project, we created a welcome screen with a swipe function that brings you to the next page.  that page then displays a list of courses on the card that when clicked brings you to a new page that displays the office hours of the professor associated with the course. 

How we built it

 We built the app in android studio with java and XML.  

Challenges we ran into

Accomplishments that we're proud of.

We made an app in under 42 hours.

What we learned

   We learned how to create a swipe function as well as how to display a recycling view of cards.

What's next for Praelect

 we could expand upon Praelect by increasing the number of departments whose office hours we have listed as well as by creating a system of professors to input their own office hours.
