Inspiration - Businesses and Individuals re-tooling to produce locally needed PPE for this emergency pandemic.
What it does - allows local PPE demand to find local PPE supply, and vice-versa.
How I built it - drupal, php7.3, nginx, mariadb 10.2, apache solr 7, tika, redis 5, debian, etc.
Challenges I ran into - theming, site appearance, RDFa, microdata, schema.org and metatag complexity, redundancy
Accomplishments that I'm proud of - the site LowestPrices.com was due to open on Black Friday, November, 2020, but Covid-19 is happening NOW and there is a need to be met, so I have put in a classified ads system free to use, and an on-line storefront system for professional sellers (who will have to be verified) of PPE.
What I learned - still learning! This is a special non-profit (advance pre-opening) part of the site being built just for the Covid-19 pandemic emergency. This is NOT for Chinese producers or distributors of PPE. No profiteering will be allowed. There is no auction system to increase prices for suppliers of PPE, rather there are feedback and abuse systems being built so that any profiteering will not be allowed. Fair prices only. Full description of product and product quality required. Prices MUST be disclosed on the site.
What's next for PPE LOCAL MATCH - I could use help with theming (site appearance - php, css and html in drupal 7 api experience); GIS geo-spatial information - using geo-coordinates easily - so the end user doesn't have to see it or enter in latitude or longitude; and with inputting metatag data so there is less complexity and no redundancy (I'm talking about schema.org and RDFa microdata as well as advanced usage of the drupal metatag module dublin core and other vocabularies especially in the health and infectious desease sector).
